Goodbye Sai Yok Yai

Very sad - squish-squish, squish-squish sweetie

sunny 37 °C

Due to family reasons we are having to cut our trip short and are saying goodbye to Thailand. We are so sad to go but cannot dwell as we have had the most amazing experience at Sai Yok Yai school. Everyone has been so lovely and we have really got more from this than we ever thought we would have. I can't really put into words our love and gratitude to Sai Yok Yai school. All I can say is that it was a privilege and honor to teach there and recommend anyone to do the same!!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!!

The last day was very hard. We said goodbye to all the teachers and Mr Boss who said that we were loved and welcome any time. It was lovely to hear such kind and genuine words.

Following the goodbyes to teachers Noel and I went into our classes to say goodbye and have our pictures taken. The kids were so sad to see us go. There were many hugs and jokes and the whole thing was very special.

At the end of the school day we were summoned to the school front where the children line up and are inspected before leaving the school. It turned out we were to shake hands with every single one of the five hundred students. It was so sweet. They all said thank you or have a safe trip. We were given picked flowers and little gifts to say thank you.

The next day was an inset day and the kids were off however when we were walking to the bus stop with Yada and Evelyn, some of the students cycled up to wait with us and say goodbye. It was very sweet.
